Evaluation index system for green buildings in China

Summarizes the national standard GB/T 50378—2006 Evaluation standard for green building as an evaluation index system including 95 indices in 21 sub-categories of 6 categories. Analyses the application of these evaluation indices by counting the participating and/or complying situation of each index in green building label projects and comparing them with those in local standards. Proposes some suggestions for improving the evaluation in systematicness, effectiveness and availability, including those of wide coverage, clear frame, proper distribution, robust suitability, exact requirement, rational value setting, easy handling, intuitive result, and open technique.
